Julia Elisabeth
Pole Fitness Instructor
Julia has been teaching pole dancing since she was 19 years old, and stands as proof that you don't need a background in dance, gymnastics, or even fitness to master the pole. She was first attracted to pole dancing as a strength training exercise, but instead discovered a brand new way for her body to move through space. She often refers to training herself on the pole as stretching her wings. Julia's favorite part about pole dancing is finding new ways to integrate tricks into a seamless routine on the pole, and seeing how long she can go without touching the ground. After recently choreographing a pole dancing routine for a Happy Madison production, Julia has been focusing on the myriad of ways that moves can link up and flow into one another.
She has never set foot in a gym and eagerly vows to keep it that way, claiming the only thing you need to do to get in "pole shape" is pole dance! She has trained with some of the biggest names in the pole world, but believes you never stop learning. She's also a music hoarder, so if you come to her class be sure to bring some new tunes!
